Lean Duplex.
Lean Duplex cold formed welded hollow sections features a low nickel ratio & very high strength. This enables lighter
weight constructions by using lighter guage stainless.
The stable price level is due to the very low nickel content (1-2%) & practically nill - minor content of molybdenium whilst
this material still retains competing corrosion resistance with the standard grades.
Main advantage from structural point of view is its improved stress corrosion cracking resistance in aggressive enviornments, in some
applications replacement to grade 316 or 316L could be considered.
The optimized alloy gives better corrosion resistance, keeps material costs more stable compared to austenitic grades 304 / EN 1.4301 saving
delivery costs. This alloy is ideal for construction, transportation & process industries and applications where high strength, good
corrosion resistance and low life cycle costs are needed.
- Less weight, higher strength.
- Possibilities to reduce weight & costs.
- Good corrosion resistance.
- High strengt.
- Cost Effectiveness for demanding applications.
